Internal Travel Grants

Fiscal Year 2025 Applications: Open

Travel Grants support travel to conferences for the purpose of presenting original research. Graduate Student Knowledgebase members may apply and be awarded up to one travel grant per fiscal year (July 1 through June 30). Applications must be received by September 31, 2024 (no exceptions). Before applying, check the eligibility section below to see if you qualify.

Travel Grant Application

Graduate Student Knowledgebase member
Graduate student enrolled in either a master's degree, doctoral degree, medical degree, or juris doctoral degree program
Must be in good academic standing within your program (e.g., no academic probations)
Have not received a travel grant from the Graduate Student Knowledgebase in the past 12 months
Presenting your original research at the academic conference
Proof of presentation acceptance at the academic conference
Letter of support from advisor or professor.

Expenses may include the following:

Airfare
Transportation to/from airport/conference hotel
Lodging (at a commercial venue, no stays at someone's residence)
Conference registration fee
Poster printing (for presentation)
Meals during conference (itemized receipts only, no alcohol reimbursing, no groceries)

Expenses may NOT include the following:

Computer or other electronics equipment (e.g., iPad, camera, etc)
Dissertation editing
Recreation activities
Incidents during conference trip
Tuition
Payments to participants or research study subjects
Supplies, materials, and other costs associated with research presentation (e.g., computers, printing paper, flash drives, computer usb/usb-c, etc.).
